Where do you live? The energy of Love

I am more comfortable with this ‘Our Father’ translated directly from Aramaic to English without gender biases inherent in translations from Greek and Latin (romantic languages full of religious and patriarchal bias)

It is beautiful and ‘New Age’-y

More energy based without dogmatic bias

This is from the book The Path of Prayer by Sophy Burnham an active and vibrant Reiki Master and Spiritual Coach.

I love this translation in that it tries to accommodate for the inclusion and awareness that Aramaic is a language of subtleties. And since this prayer originally came down to us through many interpretations and cultural biases we don’t necessarily know the true words originally given or their true illustrative meaning.

I love learning that in Aramaic there exist nuances in which “heaven” means the Universe, “kingdom” is more relatable to Great Mother awareness and “daily bread” derives from the roots for the Divine Feminine or Holy Wisdom (ie Sophia).

In my sacred-feminine-earth-worshipping slant I went a little further with my recitation of this prayer to help it feel more inclusive and pure to what I connect to spiritually:

Oh Breathing Life!

Your light shines everywhere

Release a space to plant your presence here

Envision your “I can” now

Embody your desire in every light form

Grow through us this moment’s bread and wisdom

Untie the knots of failure binding us

As we release the strands we hold of others’ faults

Help us remember our Source and be present

From you arises every vision, power and song from gathering to gathering

Amen: May our future actions grow from here

For me I find the the words:

Untie the knots of failure binding us, as we release the strands we hold of others’ faults

Incredibly potent. We create our reality through our thoughts therefore how does holding onto misery serve us?

If your thoughts create your reality, where do you live?

Find your source of joy and live there with the flow of your consciousness. Balance is a constant work in progress. Strengthen the right ‘muscles’ and it will no longer feel like hard work.

On achieving peaceful balance: “If the seeds are being watered, the fruit (transformation) will reveal itself”

The Ancient people had a fable that said two wolves live within us: Love and Hate. Which wolf you feed is where you live emotionally and physically.
